What you will do with us
- As a (Senior) Solution Architect at Fressnapf you will be responsible for finding great solutions for IT projects within your business domain.
- You will develop the overarching system architecture of our cloud-based IT landscape and drive the adoption of modern technologies such as our Microservice architecture (mostly Java on Azure) and event streaming (Confluent Kafka) together with our powerful SAP landscape.
- Working closely with business owners, project teams, and our Development teams, you’ll align our systems with our company’s goals.
- You will derive clear architectural specifications from business requirements and use them to develop robust technical solutions.
- Together with other architects, you’ll define and decide on standards, patterns, and procedures.
- You will document your solutions in our standard tools, coordinate them with relevant stakeholders, and actively support their implementation.
- You will implement new ideas as proof-of-concept projects while maintaining a balance between technical and business interests.
What you will bring with you
- You have broad methodological knowledge and can clearly analyze requirements, as well as document and present solutions in a structured and understandable way, preferably using a common modeling language like C4 (structurizr), PlantUML, Mermaid.
- You bring proven experience in working with interface definitions (e.g., OpenAPI OR Avro) and enjoy working on the integration of complex systems, including those related to SAP.
- You demonstrate the ability to develop potential solutions, evaluate them based on facts, and make decisions, such as evaluating MAKE versus BUY options.
- With an open, digital, and international mindset you work independently (but never alone) and take ownership of your projects, driving them forward and enjoy learning new technologies.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach are among your strengths, as is collaborating with both people and machines.
- You offer excellent communication skills in English, alongside a good proficiency in German.
- Ideally, you have several years of experience in software development and software architecture.
