Accounts Payable Data Insights & Performance SME

What you will do with us

As a Subject Matter Expert, you will turn Accounts Payable data into actionable insights, improvement initiatives and measurable business value. You will work closely with AP Operations, Process Owners, Continuous Improvement and technology teams to identify root causes, prioritize actions and improve AP performance.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Own and continuously improve the AP performance framework, including operational, productivity, quality, working-capital and control-related KPIs
• Prepare data-driven performance reviews and provide insights on payment timeliness, invoice cycle time, touchless processing, exceptions, backlogs and supplier escalations
• Identify performance gaps, operational risks and improvement opportunities across entities, teams and processes
• Conduct root-cause analyses of issues such as late payments, lost discounts, approval delays, duplicate risks and high exception volumes
• Translate findings into clear recommendations, priorities, measurable targets and practical actions
• Use process mining and workflow analytics to identify bottlenecks, process deviations, control weaknesses and automation opportunities
• Define and validate business requirements, data quality and KPI logic for dashboards, reports and analytical solutions
• Apply SAP FI/MM and VIM process knowledge to ensure reliable interpretation of AP data
• Support system changes, automation projects and user acceptance testing from a business perspective
• Quantify expected business value and monitor whether implemented improvements deliver sustainable results
• Collaborate with AP Operations, Process Owners, Project Leads, IT, SAP and data specialists
• Maintain standardized KPI definitions and provide reliable analyses for control, compliance and audit reviews

What you will bring with you

• Strong Accounts Payable expertise gained in a shared services, GBS or similarly complex environment
• Experience using data to identify operational issues and turn findings into measurable improvement actions
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI/MM and invoice workflow solutions; SAP VIM experience is a strong advantage
• Experience with process mining or AP analytics tools such as Celonis, SAP Signavio, Xelix or similar solutions
• Proven ability to define, interpret and improve complex dashboards and reports
• Experience in root-cause analysis, process improvement, operational excellence or performance management
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI or data-visualization tools
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to different audiences
• Strong stakeholder-management and collaboration skills in an international environment
• Experience in AP transformation, automation, AI-enabled solutions, system implementations or Lean/Six Sigma is an advantage
